Leptogenesis, fermion masses and mixings in a SUSY SU(5) GUT with D4 flavor symmetry

We propose a model of fermion masses and mixings based on $SU(5)$ grand unified theory (GUT) $D_{4}$ flavor symmetry. This is highly predictive 4D GUT with symmetry that does not contain triplet irreducible representation. The Yukawa matrices quarks charged leptons are obtained after integrating out heavy messenger fields from renormalizable superpotentials while neutrino originate the type I seesaw mechanism. group theoretical factors 24- 45-dimensional Higgs lead to ratios between couplings in agreement data, dangerous proton decay operators suppressed. By performing numerical fit, we find captures accurately mixing angles, $CP$ phase quark sector at scale. generated level prediction trimaximal an additional effective operator required account for baryon asymmetry universe (BAU). remarkably because only normal mass ordering lower octant atmospheric angle allowed conserving values Dirac $\delta_{CP}$ excluded. Moreover, predicted Majorana $m_{\beta \beta}$ can be tested future neutrinoless double beta experiments. An analytical study BAU via leptogenesis mechanism performed. focused regions parameter space where lightest right-handed successfully realized. Strong correlations parameters observed obtained.
